A third-grade class plans a survey to find out which of four recess games the students in the school prefer. Which of the following survey questions would best produce the data the class needs?

A survey that compares four categories should offer every respondent the same four choices and ask for a single answer, so that each response can be tallied in one category and displayed, for example in a bar graph. Asking which of the four games is each student's favorite does exactly that and answers the class's question directly. Writing a question that yields the needed data is the first stage of a statistical investigation, before the data are collected, organized and displayed.
- B Do you like to play kickball at recess?
- A yes-or-no question about one game gives no comparison among the four games, so it answers only part of the class's question.
- C What is your favorite thing to do at recess?
- An open question lets students name any activity, so many answers would fall outside the four games the class is comparing and could not be tallied among them.
- D How many times did you play each of these four games this week?
- How often students played depends on turns, equipment and weather, so the question measures the chance to play rather than which game students prefer.

Is the score official?
No. It is an estimated scaled score, computed from your accuracy in each competency and the official weight of each subtest. Only the testing agency issues official results.
Which exams are covered?
CSET Multiple Subjects, all 3 subtests; TExES Core Subjects EC-6 (391), all 5 subject exams. FTCE General Knowledge, NYSTCE Educating All Students and Praxis Core are planned, with no date yet. There is no waiting list: check this page, and buy nothing until the exam you need is live.
Do I need an account?
No. The diagnostic and your plan run on this device without an account. You sign in only when you buy a plan, so the purchase follows you across devices.
Can I cancel?
Monthly can be cancelled anytime from Settings and stays active until the end of the period. The lifetime plans are a one-time payment with no renewal.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if you bought here: email support@passingline.com within 7 days and we refund it in full, no reason needed. If you bought inside the app, Apple or Google handles the refund under their own policy (Apple’s request page). We do not promise a pass or a score, so there is no pass guarantee beyond that refund.
