Free FTCE General Knowledge diagnostic · for future teachersKnow exactly where you stand against the pass line.
Take a free 30-question diagnostic and get an estimated scaled score today. Then a daily plan of about 25 minutes closes the gap before test day.
Three steps from a number to a plan.
The estimate is the center of the app. Everything else exists to move it above the line.
Take the free diagnostic
30 questions, about 35 minutes, across every subtest. You get an estimated scaled score against the real pass line, and a readiness figure for each domain.
Follow a daily plan
15, 25 or 45 minutes a day. Your weakest competencies come first, paced to your test date, with a mixed review whenever mistakes pile up.
Sit full-length mocks
The official number of questions and the official clock, with no explanations until you submit. Each mock updates your estimate and your plan.
Every answer comes with the why.
A real item from the bank. Fill in a bubble and the margin shows the explanation the app gives after you check.
Which of the following statements about quadrilaterals is always true?
Fill in a bubble. The explanation appears here: why the answer is right, and why the other three are wrong.
A rhombus is a quadrilateral with four sides of equal length. Every square has four equal sides, so every square is a rhombus, one whose angles all happen to be right angles. The other statements fail because a rhombus or a parallelogram need not have right angles, and a rectangle need not have four equal sides.
- A Every rhombus is a square.
- Reverses the true statement: a rhombus has four equal sides but need not have right angles, so a rhombus with angles of 60° and 120° is not a square.
- B Every rectangle is a rhombus.
- Treats four equal angles as if they forced four equal sides; a 2-by-5 rectangle has four right angles but sides of different lengths, so it is not a rhombus.
- D Every parallelogram is a rectangle.
- Gives every parallelogram the right angles of a neighboring figure; a parallelogram only needs both pairs of opposite sides parallel, so one with angles of 70° and 110° is not a rectangle.

Questions we get asked.
Is the score official?
No. It is an estimated scaled score, computed from your accuracy in each competency and the official weight of each subtest. Only the testing agency issues official results.
Which exams are covered?
CSET Multiple Subjects, all 3 subtests; TExES Core Subjects EC-6 (391), all 5 subject exams; FTCE General Knowledge, all 4 subtests. NYSTCE Educating All Students and Praxis Core are planned, with no date yet. There is no waiting list: check this page, and buy nothing until the exam you need is live.
Do I need an account?
No. The diagnostic and your plan run on this device without an account. You sign in only when you buy a plan, so the purchase follows you across devices.
Can I cancel?
Monthly can be cancelled anytime from Settings and stays active until the end of the period. The lifetime plans are a one-time payment with no renewal.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if you bought here: email support@passingline.com within 7 days and we refund it in full, no reason needed. If you bought inside the app, Apple or Google handles the refund under their own policy (Apple’s request page). We do not promise a pass or a score, so there is no pass guarantee beyond that refund.
